Ways to Celebrate this Festive Season with Coffee

Christmas is the perfect culmination of family, food and coffee…? At BeanGiving we believe that coffee is the perfect addition to this time of year, whether as a present for a loved one or a way to wake up before the mayhem of Christmas day. Listed below are a few ways we plan on incorporating coffee into this year’s holiday season.

Days Leading up to Christmas

1. Brave the Christmas Crowds with a Coffee

We definitely recommend preparing yourselves for the last minute Christmas shopping with a big cup of coffee. Something to take the stress off having to wrestle that last pair of shoes from the lady who doesn’t need them just as much as you do.

2. Assemble a Coffee Gift Basket for the Coffee Lover in your Life

You know the way to their heart is through coffee, so what better than having a browse of our best ever coffee gifts list and putting together a coffee gift basket that will fulfill their caffeine dreams.

Christmas Day

1. Wake up with a Holiday Blend.

In order to prepare yourself for the madness which is Christmas Day, we suggest making a pot of our Christmas Spiced Coffee! Start the day by filling the house with the smell of Christmas, perfect way to get everyone awake and in the mood.

2. Try this recipe for Coffee-Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • Ham leg
  • 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup of black coffee (we love using BeanGiving’s Espresso Blend)
  • 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard

Method

Preheat the oven to 165 degrees and prepare a shallow roasting pan. Cut the rind off the ham to expose the fat. Place ham on the rack and cover loosely with foil. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Combine glaze ingredients and brush on ham. Bake uncovered for a further 40-60 minutes, brushing ham a further two times during the cooking process, until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part reaches 65 degrees. Rest the ham for a further 15 minutes before slicing.

3. Finish the Day with a Classic Irish Coffee.

We love to curl up on the couch after a long day with a classic Christmas movie and a warm boozy Irish coffee, perfect way to relax after a long day. We recommend using the Jamaica Blue Decaf Signature Blend (to make sure you can sleep that night).
