Wondering how you can get your artwork seen? Become a barista!

Our Muffin Break baristas are talented and highly-trained artists who produce beautiful latte art on a daily basis. To become one, you go through a nationally accredited barista program.

One of our baristas, Melissa, says that she loves being a barista with Muffin Break since 2006 “because making the perfect cup of coffee is like an artform. So many factors come together and so many people are involved from farm to cup to make someone’s day a little better. I get to be there to see it!”

Another of the barista team, Megan who has also been with us since 2006, says that, “nothing in the world smells better than coffee, and few things taste as good…and I get to be around it all day! There’s nothing more amazing than taking a perfect shot of espresso and mixing it with a sexy jug of smooth velvety milk – not many other things are as beautiful as this.”

If you’re worried you don’t have the skills to match up with Melissa and Megan, fear not.

We suggest you start off working on the Customer Satisfaction side to develop your confidence with customers, while you work towards perfecting your barista skills. It will also give you the opportunity to understand how the business operates. You’ll work closely with your team in store, learning best practices in each role of the business, including that of a barista.

The roles we recommend you apply for within Muffin Break include:

• Front of House: Work the floor with customers and prepare orders to perfection.
• Back of House: Bake our wholesome creations.
• All Rounder: A combination of the above!

Working with the team in store will give you the opportunity to show off your customer service skills and build trust as a valuable and reliable staff member. Then you can upskill to your dream job of barista!

All Muffin Break baristas receive comprehensive training. The franchise offers a nationally accredited barista program through our e-learning platform. You’ll learn:

• Different coffee styles, understanding the variation of coffee blends.
• How to develop a mouthwatering cup of golden liquid and the composition of a great coffee.
• There is also a very detailed module to guide you through perfecting your latte art. An invaluable skill.
• The importance of food hygiene and the associated laws.
