$2 Muffin Day at Wagga
A Sunny Day for Sonny
Muffin Break Wagga held a fundraiser in store for 6-year-old Sonny, a young Wagga boy who attended Sacred Heart Primary School, has been diagnosed with 4th grade malignant brain tumour.
The store held a $2 Muffin Day on 6th April to help support a local Wagga family during their time of need, as both parents have stopped working to support their young son.
All Muffin Break Wagga $2 Muffin sales was donated to the Moore Family to assist with their day to day living – bills, food, mortgage repayments.
For every $2 Muffin sold, $2 was donated to the family.
The store sold 1,198 muffins and raised over $5,000 in cash and gift voucher donations!
Easing the Pressure
Natalie, the franchisee of Muffin Break Wagga, spoke with Sonny’s mum, Jaclyn, post the fundraiser event. She was overwhelmed when texted the preliminary result, and blown away in the afternoon when she was offered the final numbers a couple days later.
Once the funds were received, Sonny’s parents were so grateful to their local community.
“Thank you again it’s a massive financial pressure relieved.”
