Muffin Break Kingaroy Supports Envision Hands
Milk Lids Collected to Create Prosthetics
A Future We Envision
Envision Charity is a community service that assists children with special needs whilst striving to promote sustainability. In their recent project, they collect bottle caps and transform them into prosthetic hands and arms for kids through the process of 3D printing.
How does it work?
- Step 1: Collect a flat top bottle cap. (Note: Must be grade 2 or 4 plastic.) You can collect a soft-drink, milk bottle, or a water cap.
- Step 2: Rinse the caps. This will ensure no other plastic, metal, or other material is attached.
- Step 3: Donate the caps to Muffin Break Kingaroy! We will take care of the rest. Your plastic waste will be extruded into filomen and 3D printed into a wonderful prosthetic hand for a child.
We’re all about putting a little good into our communities, around the country. Muffin Break Kingaroy have done great work supporting this local cause to help collect lids to build these prosthetic hands for kids in need.
