Roles At Muffin Break
The success of our Muffin Break stores relies on each team member’s contribution to the team.
We all have a role to play and we encourage our teams to support each other on their shifts so that our customers receive the best possible experience.
While each role will vary a little from store to store, these are the key responsibilities of each role.
SHIFT SUPERVISOR
This position is responsible for:
- Ensuring that all team members are equipped with training and knowledge to deliver the best customer experience
- Ordering
- Rostering
- Standards of service
- Ensuring health and safety practices are adhered to
FRONT OF HOUSE
This role is responsible for:
- Delivering friendly service, a warm welcome, ensuring wait times are kept to a minimum
- Knowledge of the menu
- Cashiering
- Team player
BARISTA
This position is responsible for:
- All things coffee, delivering freshly grind coffee to every order
- Ensuring extraction is between 25-30 seconds, quality takes a little time!
- Assist in other roles in the café
- Ensure the coffee machine and equipment is in tip top working order
BAKER/FOOD PREPARATION
This role is responsible for:
- Food preparation of freshly baked muffins with an early start to the day
- Health and safety practices in the kitchen and service areas
- Ensure all menu items are made to order and meet the high standards of Muffin Break
- Making sure that the cabinet is well presented with all our favourites and something special every day
