Muffin Break Coolalinga hosted the Biggest Morning Tea in their store on 23rd May 2019 and raised over $700, making them the highest raiser in the shopping centre!
The Biggest Morning Tea supports those impacted by cancer, where 1 in 2 Australians are diagnosed with cancer by 85 years of age. Gayle and Des, franchisees of Muffin Break Coolalinga, were especially committed to raising funds as they stay within the Northern Territory. Being a remote area, they have access to fewer facilities and residents need to relocate interstate to receive the necessary care. With the money raised on the day, it means they can finance more resources to be setup in the NT to support local families.
On the day of the Biggest Morning Tea, the store donated $2 from every coffee sold and reduced the price of their muffins to entice more people into the store. The store even hosted the Honourable Kezia Purick who assisted with the fundraising event, serving coffee to customers. She even brought along a hamper to raffled on the day!
A great success for the Biggest Morning Tea event to support NT families affected by cancer.
